About MEA ARC

As a unique project, MEA continues to provide a comprehensive service to young people experiencing difficulties within the education system. We work with Key Stage 3 & 4.

Our target group includes:

  • Fixed Term Excluded Pupils
  • Young people exhibiting Challenging Behaviour
  • Looked After Children
  • Young People identified on the Long Term Absence register
  • Manage Moves
  • Permanent Exclusions
  • Young people registered with Special Educational Needs
  • Young people, identified through school as requiring additional support
  • Young people Identified by other statutory and voluntary agencies

How can MEA support your school?

  • Offer a community-based approach to working with young people that offers a new dimension to your school

How can MEA support young people?

  • Ensure that young people receive the support they require to return to school and/or an alternative provision more suited to meet their needs
  • Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Provide a mentor that will work with the young person throughout their placement
  • Provide one-to-one and group mentoring support and counseling
  • Provide Learning Support
  • Provide recreational and sports activities
